Archaeologists again come across sensational finds in East Kazakhstan region
Scientists have removed 850 pieces of gold items from a mound in the Eleke Sazy valley.
During fieldwork in 2020 in the Eleke Sazy valley, located on the territory of the Tarbagatai district of the East Kazakhstan region, archaeologists found artifacts that represent the decoration of one set of horse harness of the ruler of the Saka society. As the head of the expedition, Professor Abdesh Toleubaev, noted, he had never met such rich, dense, well-preserved decorations in horse equipment. Moreover, the scientists managed to look into the holy of holies of the ancient masters: they discovered a gold foundry with a furnace 50 meters from a large mound.
